The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), has assured investors in agricultural sector of adequate security.
The Commandant-General of the Corps, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu gave the assurance when he visited Golden Acres Farm located at Kilometer 52 along Kaduna-Abuja highway which marks the Pilot programme of Agro-Rangers by the Corps.
According to Gana, providing physical security on agricultural investment has become necessary due to its multiple effects of ensuring food security as well as being an alternative for oil.
Gana called on agricultural investors who had left as a result of insecurity to return assuring them of their protection and their investments.
Responding, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Golden Acres Farm, Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam expressed joy over the collaboration saying it would translate into security of his eight hectares investment which had suffered in the hands of cattle rustlers and vandals.
